Vampire News Letter

Vampires are well known myths or legends. People have been whispering of them for centuries. I became interested in them by reading a book my sister had laying around, Interview With a Vampire. The idea of them is very intriguing.

What are they? They are a dark “undead” beings that feeds on the blood of humans mostly, but animals too.

There are also ways that people say can keep vampires away. They could be true, or they could be false, but some of them are as follows: Garlic, Mirrors, Crucifixes. Just like items that repel vampires, there are also several ways of ridding the world of a vampire. You can cut off their head, put a stake through their heart, burn them, or drown them. These ways may sound gruesome, but as I said, all of this is just mythical.

However, if the rituals of death for a vampire are done improperly, there's a possibility of them returning to the “undead life.” If one fails to scatter the ashes of a burned vampire, it will be able to return. Likewise with not separating the severed head from the body. The lesson learned from this: If you're planning on killing a vampire, make sure to do it right.

Vampires have a few characteristics that make distinguish them . For one, they have sharp fangs that allow them to feed. Another is that they'll most likely have pale skin. Furthermore, vampires, although pale, are usually unearthly beautiful/ handsome. What's more is it's told that their reflection wont show in a mirror, but who really knows?

Vampires have types of behavior that set them apart from others. They sleep at night in coffins, which ensures that they stay hidden from the scalding sun during the daylight hours. Moreover, vampires possess an immense amount of power (physical power, yes, but also mental powers). Another interesting thing, is that vampires are unable to enter a place in which a human sleeps without being invited, so be careful who you invite into your house.

Vampires are tricky, mysterious creatures. They're very gifted in almost all that they do. They have fast hand/eye coordination, which means they would beat you in any fight, even with their eyes closed and one hand tied behind their back. What's more, these immortal beings are incredibly convincing. They use their eyes and mind powers to influence others' choices. In addition to this information, vampires are able to easily co-exist with humans without ever a single soul discovering what they truly are. I'm afraid humans would have quite a hard time telling the difference. Overall, just don't mess with vampires.

There are several stories about where vampire tales originated. One of these is that there was once a man named Vlad Dracula (hence the popular vampire name, Dracula). This man was mad and enjoyed watching others being impaled. It was blood lust. Another is that one of the Queen Elizabeths bathed in young women's blood. Well, there is a basic overview of vampires for you. Next time you're alone at night, watch out.
