Government Mandated Ideology (Religion Replacement)
I do not suspect that government mandated ideology to replace worldwide accepted religions to be put in effective within the United States, until it has become a global mandate issue. Although, there are many in government and privately funded organizations that recognizes the benefits of creating a worldwide accepted religion possibly grounded in science or something kin to it, so that divisiveness created by multiple religions cause in the world today.
There have already been meetings on a worldwide scale that have met to discuss this very issue. When are they planning to attempt replacing the world's religions with the ideology that have been discussed in privately held government sponsored world religion forums? You guess is as good as mine, but do not think for a minute that a future government will not attempt implementing their own brand of religion upon the world, so that citizens will be more depended on the government for everything that they require to live.
Government Mandated Population Control Program
Government sanctioned genocide of less desirables in a population of any country have been allowed for years, just look at Darfur for a perfect example. China's population control even goes as far as limiting the number of children a family can have and have been known as killing extra children (especially baby girls) in a way to control the population in their country.
In the future, it may become important to conduct sweeps seeking out the undesirables in the populations and eliminating those citizens that the government deems a liability to the national food supply, national healthcare reserves, national energy allotments, or even those you have chosen to opt-out of the government sponsored religion program. All in the name of survival of the species the government may decide who lives and who dies and the world will be powerless to do anything about it.

Believe to be a merger of a multi-national military comprising of members of all participating countries that have agreed to join their forces.

One world united under the power of a one-world government, a one-world economic system and a one-world religion or ideology.
4 Billion +/- Completely Brainwashed Citizens
Those citizens that are left to live or die under the rule of a world dictatorship and not having the choice to live as free people without the approval of the government.
1 Government
A world accepted government organization that has replaced all other worldwide governments.
1 Leader
A worldwide approved global dictator that will control everything and everyone with absolute authority that was given to him by the governments and peoples of the world to save them from their past stupid mistakes.
1 Huge Worldwide Mess
Nothing will get any better after these events begin to unfold, because mankind is unable to fix that which they have not created. Only God has the ability to correct that which he created and that we humans have misused, abused and/or broken. No human is God, no matter how bad some people may want to be.
People who are forced to depend on their government, so to feed their families, fuel their cars, heat their homes, raise their children, see a doctor, get a job or protect the nation from outside dangers, then it will be the day the world watched as “Freedom Died”.
