Francisco was going to follow his father and join the navy, but the navy did not allow anyone to join from 1906 to 1913. As he grew up he proved that he was a good military leader. Franco became dictator after Jose Sanjurjo died in an air accident. Franco died on November 20, 1975.

Between 900,000 to 4,000,000 Vietnamese civilians died. Operation Frequent Wind was the result of The Fall of Saigon. U.S. helicopters began evacuating South Vietnamese, U.S. and foreign officials from Saigon. Operation Frequent was the largest helicopter evacuation in history.
Sara Jane Moore attempted to assassinate U.S. President Gerald Ford on September 22, 1975 outside the hotel St. Francis in San Francisco. Moore was just 40 feet away from Ford when she fired a single shot. Her shot missed because Oliver Sipple who grabbed Moore's arm and pulled her to the ground. Moore pleaded guilty and is now in prison for life at the federal women prison in Dublin, California.
The purpose of the Viking Program was to photograph the surface of Mars. Viking 1 was launched on August 20, 1975 and Viking 2 was launched on September 9, 1975. Each rode on Titan III E Rockets with Centaur upper stages. Both Viking launches had a lander and an orbiter. The orbiter took pictures of Mars as it orbited around it and the lander was suppose to land on Mars' surface. The orbiter was about 2.5 meters across and weighed 2328kg. The lander had two thermal generators that were 28cm tall and 58cm in diameter. Eventually both crafts were shut off due to mechanical issues or lost contact.
