The Great Depression was a time of economic hardship for many people who lived during that time. Through many struggles there were ways to enjoy life while waiting for the end of the trials of life. These included an increase in many forms of entertainment, many which developed into what we now appreciate in life.
Music was important during the Great Depression. With the radio having been invented around that time, more people were spending time together while enjoying their favorite songs. Many people could have related to the music as the music was about hardship, with the hope that the future would be better.
