Hephaestus

The god of Technology

This is the god of blacksmiths, craftsmen, artisans, sculptors, metals and metallurgy, and fire.So he is basically the god of Technology. The Birth of Hephaestus happened because Hera Zeus's wife at the time was jealous that Zeus was sleeping around with many gods and mortal women and other mythical creatures. So Hera just decided to have baby so she just gave birth to him to punish him with this baby so the baby Hephaestus did not really have any connection with Zeus so he wasn't really like a direct descendent of Zeus. When Hephaestus became older he was apart of the birth of Athena goddess of wisdom and war the strategic part of war. It was his hammer that would split open Zeus head to clear his headache and the goddess would emerge out of Zeus's head born with all her battle armor. Later on he would fall in love with her and try a rape her but it failed.

He was recognized as an old ugly old man with a funny shaped leg. His blacksmith skills were seen with many Heroes and Gods like Ares his armor was forged by Hephaestus and also Heroes like Achilles he made the armor on his flesh that made him practically invincible. So although his looks may of turned away many people and gods for loving him his talents with the hammer were incredible and known though out the known world at that time. If you were a great warrior going into combat you would often ask him to make you a weapons or armor before going into that battle and most times he would answer to your asking.

If he was still believed to be around now days he would be the reason why our modern world has so much technology he would be recognized for his guidance, and before countries like America go into war that they would probably go to Hephaestus home and ask him for the strongest weapon they ever saw. And you know what he would probably answer but glad he isn't around cause this world we live in now would not be around because we would of killed us off during the conflicts his weapons brought us

So Hephaestus may your wisdom and ideas of the crafts stay in the minds of ancient Greece so that your wisdom can not doom us all
