Holocaust Hard Time

About the Jeweish people during the Holocaust. How they were and what they had to go through.

Can you imagine what it would be like to get punished for your race or religion? That is exactly what Jewish people had to go through. They were alienated from the rest of their country. The Nazis did whatever they wanted to do to the Jews. They stamped J on their passport so they can't escape. They took away their property and treated them like animals. How would you feel if somebody did that to you and your family?

Jews didn't know they will have to go through these problems so, they didn't try to escape but when they tried to escape it was too late for them. When the Nazis punished them for no reason they didn't really fight back because they were too scared to fight. But later they started to fight for their rights. Between 1941 and 1943 they formed about 100 Jewish groups. In summer of 1942 about 300,000 Jews were deported from Warsaw to Treblinka. Jews that were alive made an organization called Z.O.B and it was led by a 23-year-old Mordecai Anielewicz. On April 19, 1943 the Warsaw ghetto uprising began when German troops tried to deport the Jews. On May 16, 1943 Germans captured more than 56,000 Jews and 7,000 Jews were shot.

On August 1943 the prisoners' revolted and 750,000 people were killed. All the victims were Jews. 300 prisoners managed to escape but they were caught by the German police and killed them later. Jewish at the Sobibor killing began an armed revolt. 300 Jews escaped but the German police managed to capture 100 of them and killed them.

On October 7, 1944 when prisoners found out that they were going to be killed they started to rebel. During the uprising, the prisoners killed three guards and blew up the crematorium and adjacent gas chamber. The prisoners gave explosive smuggle to the Jewish women who was forced to work in a nearby factory and told her to put in the camp. The Germans managed the revolt and killed every single prisoner that was involved with the rebellion. The Jewish women who had smuggled the explosives into the camp were publicly hanged in early January 1945. Gassing operation was continued until November 1944. The SS got an order from Hitler and disabled all the gas chambers.

The Germany killed many Jews from their own country and other countries. They kept going until Hitler died and they surrendered on May 8, 1945. The holocaust is the worst thing in world that could ever happen. It was the most horrible event in world's history and its unforgettable.
