New Jersey Education
New Jersey schools were made out of log-cabins. They were for colonial boys and girls. The discipline was severe and they might get whipped if they were bad enough. Many children never went to school though. New Jersey was the only colony with schools that had higher learning (colleges).
New York Education
New York was on of the first colonies to have schools. It had commendable effort to educate the young. The boys learned harder subjects then the girls. The girls learned how to sow, cook, and other stuff to be a woman.

New Jersey Economics and Industries
One of the earliest industries was the Colonial Iron Works. It was such a good industry because New Jersey had iron almost everywhere. The Camden and Amboy railroad was completed in the 1840's. Potteries, shoe factories, and brickworks were built in the 1800's.
New York Economics and Industries
New York led other colonies to having good economics. New York had lots of flour mills and automobile assembly lines. Because of a economic rivalry with Pennsylvania, New York gained excellent transportation, good agriculture and forest resources, and abundant labor.
