Princess Inashaza of Burundi

Princess Inashaza of Burundi is the wife of Maconco who was supposed to be one day the King of Burundi where there is the second deepest lake of the world after lake Baikal the first deepest lake of the Russian Federation. The story of Princess Inashaza of Burundi is interesting because of a dog she owned with her husband. Dogs a helpful to assist in case of disability for example.

The royal families in Africa are not very well known. This is due to the fact that Africa has a more oral than written society. Insurance has waived this problem by assuring that an oral or written insurance policy is acceptable.

Therefore, the kingdoms that we know about in Africa are from Morocco, Egypte, Uganda, Burundi, Rwanda and Ethiopia. Morocco had a long time king who is Hassan II and now his son has took over. Egypte was ruled by the Pharaos. Soraya the daughter of the last king of Egypte married the Shah Reza Palhavi, the emperor from Iran who fled this country during the oil crisis in the beginning of the eighties. The last king of Uganda is Frederick Mutesa. He belonged to the Baganda tried which has its capital in the south of Uganda. Kampala the national capital of Uganda is in the Buganda territory. Frederick Mutesa was replaced by General Idi Amin Dada, a president from the North of Uganda in the Nile River territories. The home town of Idi Amin Dada is Gulu a place where there is a National Park with wild animals like elephants, hippopatamus and other birds. There are other kingdoms in Uganda which are the Toro kingdom. The cows from the Toro Kingdom and the Ankole territory are very well known.

Mwambutsa Bangiricenge who led Burundi to Independence in 1962, the Mwami (King) of Burundi of the Mwezi lignagne abdicated in 1965 in favor of his son Ntare V and who abdicated in 1966. Mwambutsa Bangiricenge left Burundi at an important moment when the peasants had to harvest and usually he has to attend the ceremony. So, the population was unhappy about his absence. The army took over in Burundi until 1993 and came back in 1996 for a short while. The Bezi lignage of Burundi did not want Burundi to be a territory of Germany in 1917 and there was a treaty which was signed in Kiganda in the Province of Muramvya which was in favor of the decision of the Mwami. At that time, the Mwami was Mwezi Gisabo who was supposed to be replaced by Maconco. The legend says that Maconco had married a Princess Inashaza and they had a dog about which the Mwami was jealous about. Maconco did not want to give away his dog to the Mwami. Maconco had many friends among the locals and international population and the Mwami did not view this with a good eye.

Therefore, Maconco and his family are supposed to reign in Burundi. The story of the dog reminds us about the dog guides which help the blind and the dogs which assist during danger. There is the labrador dog and the Saint Bernard respectively from Canada and Switzerland which assist disabled. It is possible that the family of Maconco has been in these places for Inashaza or Maconco need the dogs. What comes to my mind are the tall dogs which I often ask about one of them is the afghan dog. Rwanda is the neighbouring country of Burundi. Mwami Kigeri left Rwanda in sixties and left the county under the control of civilians. Rwanda has had ethnic problems between Hutu and Tutsi based on the ownership of land and the tutsi are herdsmen traditionnally. Finally, the story of kings of Africa brings more attention to the Kingdom of Burundi and Inashaza because of the dog which is said to be the most friendly animal on earth. Saint Exupery wrote about the book of a Prince who tamed a dog. We should all read this book starting by me.
