The Airplane was created by the Wright brothers. Their names are Orville and Wilbur Wright. They invented the airplane in the year 1903. The purpose of this invention is to travel to different parts of the world really fast without having to build long, long railways connecting the continents.
The airplane runs on a large engine and long wings that go to the sides. You can either start the airplane by turning a key or moving the propeller at the front. The controls are a bit more complicated. There are easy controls for turning left and right but for up and down; you need to know a lot about aerodynamics and how the wind reacts to the airplane. For example, if you were to make the airplane for up, you would need to see where the wind is blowing and you would need to know what buttons to press to move the wings according to the direction and the angle of how high you want to go. If you were to want to go down, you would have to do it very carefully because if you go down at the wrong angle, you might not be able to get back up in time to land. Again, you would need to push the right buttons in order to change the angle of the wings so you will drift down slowly.
This invention has affected people a lot in this life so much. The airplane can transport people, transport letters and even import or export goods from other countries really quickly. Now, people can go to every part of the world and explore it without having to drive there or planning a route to go. Because of the airplane, we know so much more about the world around us and we are able to draw precise maps without hesitation and guessing of where a country is in the world.
Because of the airplane, our lives have become so much easier!
