The Knights Templar were a groups Roman battle monks in the 12th century who fought in the crusades war against the Muslims in the Holy Land. Rumor has it that they were the protectors and guardians of the holy grail and other ancient Christian relics. Some they were the first bankers and started the Swiss banking system but no one really knows for sure. But one thing is for sure, the Swiss bank will never reveal that information and will never tell.
The knights templar are said to have possessed 400 tons of gold and that was more gold than what all the kings and queens had throughout Europe. Because the knights templar had more cash and more gold than what the European royal families all the European royal families were going bankrupt because of this so the king of France reported to Pope Clement VI that the knights templar were not actually trying to defend the Christian faith but actually trying to destroy it. So Pope Clement sentenced the knights templar to be executed by burning at the stake for heresy.
The knights templar went under the vows of chastity, obedience, poverty, and piety. But the main question that arises is was there actually a holy grail and did the knights templars find it and did they actually find Jesus' crown of thorns, the nails of passion, and the cross that he was nailed to. Only time will tell but those maybe questions that will never be answered and will always remain a mystery.
