Any say that Hitler was to blame because he was the head of the regime but he didn't organise this to happen it was Himmler who was in charge of the police force army et… Heinrich Himmler was the second most powerful man in German after Adolf Hitler. He also organised the Extermination camps In 1925 Himmler joined the SS (Schutzstaffel) and later on in 1927 he became deputy-Reichsführer-SS.
By 1933 the SS number had grown to 52,000 members. The organization enforced by Adolf Hitler had stricted membership requirements ensuring that they belong to Adolf Hitler and were in the Aryan race. In 1936 Himmler gained further authority to Germany's uniform. Afterward was given the partial control of the uniformed police. Germany's political police forces then came under Himmler's control in 1934, when he organized them into the Gestapo as well as Germany's full concentration camp system.
SS chief Heinrich Himmler [down] with Adolf Hitler
Himmler was now was in charge of the police force army ect… and therefore could kill, but Hitler did not stop him as he wanted the Jews to die as well. Many beleive that the day on which the Holocaust started, it was the people that planed or killed inocent people for no reason are to blame. Since 1945, it has been estimated that over 6 million Jews alone have been killed.
History of Himmler
Himmler eventually died. He was in prison at Flensburg which was beside the Danish border attemting to avade arrest he disgised himself shaved off his moustache, changing his name to Heinrich Hitzinger putting an eye patch over his left eye, getting someone elses documents that were wholly in order and where so unusual that it caught the suspicions of a British Army unit in Bremen. Himmler was then caught and arrested on May 22 by Sergeant Arthur Britton. Finally he was sentenced on a trial of a war criminal, and he committed cucide in Lüneburg by swallowing a potassium cyanide capsule. His last words were Ich bin Heinrich Himmler! ("I am Heinrich Himmler!").
Death Toll
On the next page is a table for death toll of people that were killed on the Holocaust. There is no exact number of how many people had died. 1,400,000 Jews were killed in open-air shootings; and up to 2,900,000 who perished in camps. And the rest died in other ways such as commite sucide, hanging, stavation, hunger, fear ect.
A witness describes two twins being in a terible state.
'I remember one set of twins in particular: Guido and Ina aged about four. One day, Mengele took them away. When they returned, they were in a terrible state: they had been sewn together, back-to-back, like Siamese twins. Their wounds were infected and oozing pus. They screamed day and night. Then their parents-I remember the mother's name was Stella-managed to get some morphine and they killed the children in order to end their suffering.'
Not only Jews were killed these two tables below show us the different between Jew killings and non-Jews killings.
The table on the right hand side is The Jewish killing and the one on the right is the non-Jewish killings. So why is it that people keep saying that its only Jews that were mass murdered for nothing, this is because is you add up all the killing numbers from 1933 to 1945 it totals up to a whopping 5,100,000 (5.1 million). Which is nearest to Soviet POWs (the table on the right).
The Takeover and Outcome
Hitler wanted to make his country bigger and therefore broke the peace-treaty with the whole world that was made after the First World War had finished. Hitler's target wasn't just to take over its border countries but to take over the world and demolish those whom he thought weren't worthy of the Aryan race. Later on in the war Hitler realised his mistakes of fighting with the whole word and lost, he committed suicide by shooting himself in the mouth. Here is a picture of the first few countries Germany wanted to join to his country.
