I'm sure we all remember what we were doing on this date five years age, when that terrible tragedy hit the World Trade Center. How can we forget when so many lives were taken? It's hard to believe that it has been that long ago when it's still so fresh on our minds.
I, myself, was fresh out of high school and was working in a truck stop(I was on the 3pm-11pm shift at the time). I could hardly believe it when I heard it on the radio that morning. I just turned on the radio as soon as I woke up at nine that morning, and when I heard it I thought “What kind of joke is this?”
I believed it when a fellow co-worker/friend told me and I then saw the news reports. It was a complete shock. How could something like this happen? How could our government allow this to happen to us? The U.S was suppose to be protected and more intelligent to ever to let something as horrific such as a terrorist attack to this massive scale to happen.
I commend all those who died, or risked their lives to save people and to those who died trying to save others. Even those who tried to prevent this from happening. Like those on Flight 93. They, I think, deserve the most credit. How was they suppose to know that they were going to die that day when they got on that plane? They took incentive and tried to over take these terrorist. In a way, they succeed. In their death, they saved hundreds, even thousands in their stead.
Love and God Bless to all for their lives and heroics.
