Endless Romantic Ideas for Valentine

Think outside the box, and surprise your sweetheart. Add a touch of yourself, and make this Valentine's Day special.

This most beautiful festival honouring love is something worth putting a bit of thought into. Think outside the box and find that special something to surprise your sweetheart. The key lies in personalizing your gift ; all it takes is a little creativity. The possibilities are endless, and making this a memorable day is easier than you might think. Add a touch of yourself, so that this Valentine stays in your sweetheart's memory and is cherished for the rest of her or his life.

  • Presents should add romance. There is a time and occasion for everything, and practical and predictable gifts are not romantic. Giving the same box of chocolate is fine if they are your partner's favourite, and there are many ways of making a box of chocolate different. Add jokes about love, love poems, charismatic love quotes, or put a love letter in the box. Remember the love letter has to come from the heart ; the fact that it is your words makes all the difference. Write "I Love You" in different language. Pick a language that might be important to your sweetheart. You could also use the lyrics of a favourite or special song. This box of chocolates will be treasured for years.
  •  There are many beautiful love songs. Choose an album from you love's favourite performer, or a compilation album. Or make a CD or tape with songs that are special to your relationship, and put it in the CD player in the car. Another beautiful idea is to give your partner his/her favourite childhood book. The best gifts are those that reflect a particular event which is significant, or if you can pick your partner's favourite.
  •  Personalized items make a lovely gift. A mug, a golf ball, so they can remember you the whole year, or a photo frame. A bottle of wine or perfume can be made special with personalised labels.
  • Plan something that your partner likes to do, but you have always declined to do. It could be something simple, but make it selfless and it will be appreciated.
  • Plan a revisit to a place that has special memories attached to it. A place that you discovered together and you thought were romantic. Go to places that will remind you of why you fell in love. Book that balloon trip or whatever he/she dreams about.
  • Flowers make a wonderful gift, especially red roses for passion, and if you sweetheart is a gardener why not send infinite supply in the form of a red rose bush.
  • Breakfast in bed is a wonderful surprise. Arrange a picnic, pack fine cheeses, fresh bread, strawberries, pate, or whatever your love's favourites are. If it is too cold to venture outdoors, you can picnic on a rug in the lounge room. Chocolate covered strawberries with Champagne is a quick and easy thing to serve, even the non-cook can do it. Make a heart shaped pizza with your partner's favourite toppings, and put a love not in the box. There are many favourites, make sure they are your sweetheart's and not your own.
  • Romance should be fun, and there is nothing better to than laughing together. There are many love jokes, funny books and other amusing things. Put a smile on your sweetheart's face and laugh together.
  • You can also show your love but cutting out paper love hearts and put them on a fork and cover the front yard with them. Buy post-it in the shape of heart and put them on the front door, or leave a trail in the house with little notes leading to the bedroom, and put a surprise on the pillow. Put a note with ten things you love about your partner in her bag, in his pocket, in the shoe or underneath the dinner plate. Leave a message on the voice mail reciting a poem, or declaring your love. Or make a memory jar filled with slips of paper with a favourite memory written on each one. Put them into a jar, tied with a bow. Try to record as much as possibly about the occasion .

Some ideas may sound romantic, like buying a star. But you cannot buy a star because the IAU (International Astronomical Union) does not sell stars or star names. If you buy a star name from a company it will not be recognized by the IAU, but nothing can stop you from buying a star, even if it is not officially recognized. Comets, however, are generally named after people who discovered them. Asteroids are usually given numbers, so if you are lucky you might find a comet or asteroid with your sweetheart 's name .

Use your Creativity and Imagination Get into the Valentine Mood S how your love.
