The fall holiday of Halloween. With this comes, parties, decorating, dressing up, pumpkin patches and carving, haunted houses and trick-or-treating. I want to go over different aspects of each one here.
Fist is the decorating, for this ghoulish holiday there is all sorts of decorating, light, grave yards, bones, ghost, witches, pumpkins, Frankenstein's, and so much more! Cob webs and spiders and all sorts of things that are fun to put out each year and each year your collection grows.
Next is dressing up, here you can be anything you want from home made costumes to buying them there are anything from kids shows to horror movies to very adult rated costumes. Tons and tons of make up or none at all the possibilities are endless.
Next are the parties. Everybody knows someone who holds one. You get dressed up go with or with out your significant other and play games and get drunk and have bon fires. It is fun to get together with friends and an excuse to get out of the house!
Pumpkin patches have everything from hay rides to picking your own pumpkin to gourds and corn mazes. Many have an animal petting zoo with goats and deer's and turkey's and many other things, including wineries and a corn sand box or picking your own apples. All of course have freshly made food for you to try.
Then you take the pumpkin home and try to crave it. First you have to cut a hole in the top and the take out the seeds and pumpkin guts (eww!!) then take a pencil and try to draw what you want to carve but it never turns out that way. I never get mine the right size and I always cut off teeth by accident.
Haunted Houses are also big this time of year. There are so many different kinds from black out mazes to haunted corn mazes to insane asylums to so much more. I personally can't stand the guys with the chain saws I don't know why but it is the only thing that really freaks me out!
The best part is trick or treating. Who doesn't love FREE candy?? And it lasts for at least a month right? And you get all sorts of candy and then you can trade with your friends for the better ones right!
