Valentines Day… The Holiday that I loath the most. It makes people waste all their money on materialistic items leaving a torrent of money for various companies. It is a holiday that makes couples believe that one cares about each other, by buying each other expensive items. Some people strive to buy rings of $500,000 just to buy something for a wife/girlfriend. I'm not kidding. People go all out crazy on this day. Their souls bound to the jewelry stores and flower shops, hoping to make their boyfriends/girlfriends, husbands/wives feel like their relationship has a lot in it.
Think about it your wasting your big bucks on something for your wife/girlfriend and she has money and everything, but what about those whimpering humans in the world that have nothing huh?! And when couples are transfixed with shock, when they don't get each other anything, seeming as if they don't care about each other. Guess what?! STOP OVERREACTING! I mean seriously, there can be someone out there who doesn't have enough money to buy him/herself a ham sandwich and you're complaining about your writhing broken heart, about how that person has no love for you. You know what ...
Valentines Day is a horrible holiday. I'm not the only one who thinks so. Many say that Saint Valentine worked for Hallmark because of the profits that Card Companies and such make this time of year. So you buy your tawny haired girlfriend a very expensive gift. What about tomorrow, or the day after that, or the future for that matter. Many people only care about this day to bring back the liveliness in their love, so they can refrain from buying anything else for another year. Or if you are a girl, and you have a guy full of brawn and such but only cares about you on this one day. What kind of love is that? Annual love? That's pretty stupid if you ask me. I mean……..
True love is forever. If you really cared about someone V- Day would be everyday. Going out of your time and schedule to make the person you love feel good. You don't have to waste billions and billions of dollars to show that person that you love them. A simple gesture, comment, something along those lines are all notions of love. I mean it doesn't take a $500,000 ring to show someone you care about them. No. That's just ridiculous. If you really cared about someone, you'd show your love for them everyday. You don't have to waste too much money, maybe a card or some flowers, nothing too extravagant. You don't even have to use any money, just sit with the one you love and just talk. Talk about what's happening today and about each other, whatever. Just show the other person that you actually care about them…
All the time. You see I know many cases in which people just take Valentine's Day to save their marriage or to save some sort of relationship. Well that saving wouldn't be necessary if you actually cared about that person. Actually showing you love that person everyday. Letting them know if you got a problem they'll help you through it and if you need someone they'll be there.
So in conclusion, Valentine's Day is horrible. It is a day made so that big corporations and companies can make a whole lotta money. Well celebrate Valentine's Day if you want but I'm just saying treat everyday as if it were Valentine's Day, as if it were your last day, treat the person you care about with all the love you can give.
