How to avoid Valentine Blues
How many of us have been through that period when come 14th February, we get Valentine Blues? To all those single people out here, do not despair; Valentine's Day is just like any other day.
Here are some things that could help:
Do not watch the Valentine's Day movie
Now this is usually some romantic movie with a happy ending. We all know this is not the whole story; there is more after the "happily ever after" ending. If you are going to watch something, go for a historical or sci-fi movie or watch the news.Ignore all the snide remarks that you didn't receive a single Valentine card
You could say that you don't believe in sending cards to show your love but this makes you sound desperate. Instead say that you celebrate Valentine's Day each month.Think of all good things to come!
Do not burst into tears at the sight of red roses, chocolates or cards. Do not think of your last Valentine, whatever happened between you. Instead think of all good things to come later in the year: the possibility of getting promoted, your dream holiday.Go out and have fun
If you have single friends then go out and party. A great night out does not have to be a romantic candle-lit dinner. Have some "me time"
Sometimes it feels good to have time for yourself. Have a long relaxing soak in the bath with candles, have a hot chocolate and go to bed early
Even if you are doing anything, remember this is just an ordinary day like any other.
