Valentine's Day Gift Ideas

Need ideas for gifts, men? i got an idea that's affordable but never cheap.

Valentine's Day can either be some of the happiest moments in someone's life, spending time with the ones in love, or secretly cursing the couples who walk hand in hand down the sidewalk with not a care in the world. Many of us have been on both sides of the spectrum. Little crushes end in glares across the lunchroom as the one you're supposed to be with kisses them on the cheek. How dare they?! But soon enough, everyone is bound to get that wonderful but oh-so-awful tingle in their stomach when they finally spend that Valentine's Day alongside them and the one's that loathe their relationship.

I've noticed, working in a coffee shop and specializing in gift ideas, that it's crazy how one man can spend $40 on truffles, chocolate, flowers, and maybe a cute little animal that will be looked at for maybe all of 5 minutes. Why give a woman things that may die or may get jumbled in a box somewhere never to be gazed at again? Don't get me wrong, I love stuffed animals and keep them alongside my bed at all times, but sometimes a bit more thought and effort is in store. I know a lot of times men just want to be done with it. They're busy people. They want to get on with daily life. But maybe the cheapest gift that takes a bit more time is worth more than something you spent 5 times as much on. This Valentine's Day, I would like to say, hand-made cards and notes (written by hand and from the heart) are very in. They're 'in style' if you will. Without a doubt in my mind, every woman would love to have a note that will spark a fire and maybe cause a couple tears along the way than something that will make her fat. Just go to the nearest craft store and grab a couple pieces of paper (I would look online at some card ideas) and just cut, paste, maybe add a bow or other decoration-maybe even ask the ladies at the craft store [not Wal-mart, CRAFT store like Michael's] for ideas. Then on the inside write about the things you've been through together, the things you love about her. Write her compliments and make her laugh. But most of all tell her how much you love her and would die without her by your side. That card will be kept in a secret place forever and whenever she's feeling blue or nostalgic or maybe misses you while you're at work, she can read it over and over again.

Then again… There's always jewelry! *Winks*
