The Sick Extent to which we've been Deceived

Do you feel like the government is lying to you? Well you probably feel like that because they are. Do you realize how much you don't know?

I know this is going to sound very whiny, but when will this stop?

I'm not asking when it will literally stop, because it probably never will. Since the beginning of modern civilization (including the advent of government), people have been controlled, tricked and deceived by those who ruled over them. So no- I am not wondering when "they" will stop deceiving us. Instead I am asking, how far are they willing to go?

When I first learned about the pharmaceutical industry I thought that was a pretty big deal. It's just plain wicked that a person (or multi-billion-dollar-corporation) can knowingly harm so many innocent people. People that honestly don't know better than to take synthetic drugs to "save their lives". Could we go so far as to say that they actually want us to be sick?

It sounds like a good bet to me.

Very similar concept holds true to obesity. Is it a shock that MSG is in almost every processed and fast food in the country? One of the reasons it's added to food is because it makes you fat, and everyone knows that a fatter person eats more. Sounds like a good sales tactic, eh?

If you think that the government wants you to be healthy you are in for a big surprise. Most people that work for the government (FDA, USDA, congress) have lots of stocks in pharmaceutical companies and other power-hungry businesses that don't really care about our well-being. As long as the majority of the population is overweight, sick and diseased, those at the top of the economic food chain will continue to make lots of money off of us.

But the point isn't to delve into that subject. Read the Natural Cures book by Kevin Trudeau if you're really interested in that stuff.

The point is to bring into the light other major deceptions that might be less popularized or less known.

The loose change video already did a pretty good job of exposing the truth about 9/11. But even if they aren't entirely true, it's quite obvious that the story we are expected to believe is quite twisted.

This web site does a pretty good job of explaining and providing evidence for the toxicity of milk. If the fact that humans are the only mammals that drink the milk of another animal isn't enough to raise your eyebrows, I suggest you visit the site.

Then we have the (not surprising) dangers of fluoride, vaccinations, sodium-lauryl-sulfate, and EMFs. Perhaps a little more shocking is (one that I discovered just recently) - the AIDS myth. Or, do people really need to wear glasses?

Then there's the question of conformity, public education, health care and "the American dream." There's this interesting guy with a fascinating webpage - he wrote a post: "10 Reasons You Should Never Get a Job." I theorize that our paths through life are heavily dictated by society which is highly influenced by the government. All of the steps you thought were necessary to acheive success (doing well in school, passing the SATs, going to a prestigous college, investing money in a retirement fund, etc) may not be necessary at all. Is it really necessary to go to college to do well in the "real world"? I bet the university which you pay over $40,000 to wants you to believe it is.

So what is real? What can we believe? If society is based on lies which create profit for the super-upper-class, what can we do about it? Educate ourselves, I suppose. Be open to alternative ideas, theories and suggestions. Close-mindedness should be a crime. Most people don't know half of the truth, and that's assuming that a truth even exists...

What I suggest you do, is have faith in the natural beauty of the world. Love life, nature, family, people, and whatever feels good. Minimize your use of synthetic materials and commercial products. Accept the world as it is. Be happy...
