Zoos capture animals for entertainment purposes. They are taken out of the wild, out of their natural habitat, and put in a new, virtual habitat to live in, along with many other animals, used, like the bear in this poem, to accumulate money for the owners. However, they are also beneficial to animal productivity, as some adopt young endangered species, putting them in an environment where they would have a much higher chance of living than being alone in the wilderness.
Wildlife parks, however, are better for the animals. They give them much more space and habitat, along with food and care. There are virtually no walls for the animals to be encased by, giving them more room than they need, so they can live a regular life, unaware that they are, in fact, in a wildlife park, used for entertainment.
I believe that capturing and using animals for entertainment is wrong, because it is morally wrong and goes against instinct. For one thing, any living thing on this planet should not be used for entertainment; instead, it was created to survive and breed. We, humans, should not capture them to entertain other humans, as both of us were created solely for survival.
Captured animals are also handed their food. However, if they were in the wild, they would use their instincts to capture prey. Since their instincts are not "realized", they do become just an easy way for people who own them to gain money, as they lost the one thing that made them into their own unique animal.
It is also morally wrong, because both the capturer and animal knows that the animal doesn't want to be stuck somewhere, when it would rather be in it's natural habitat. Humans still do it, however, because their greed for money overpowers their sense of morals, which splits up the weak people from the strong.
In my opinion, animals should not be captured, unless it is beneficial to them. Animals kept in captivity so that they are not killed in the wild is a good example, but keeping perfectly healthy animals in cages to waste their lives so that people can make money is not. They should all just be in their natural habitat.
