Bali... is it safe now?

Bali is a little island just located near Java. It was once on of the most attractive place to visit and lots of tourist may have an eye on this small but beautiful island. Its beauty and rare culture have won tourist’s heart. But wat happen after that...

Bali is a little island just located near Java. It was once on of the most attractive place to visit and lots of tourist may have an eye on this small but beautiful island. Its beauty and rare culture have won tourist’s heart.

Unfortunately, on the sixth of October 2002, Bali’s tourism decreased after the bombing attack in and area that killed hundreds of people containing mostly Australians. Governments around the world have warned their citizen to think twice then going to Bali. The tourist have stopped going to Bali for their safety and people have been saying that there will be more attacks later in the year. Fortunately afterwards in the year to come, the tourism blooms once more.

Again, on October 2005, other bombing attacks start to occur in places like Kuta and Jimabaran. These attacks weren’t as severe as the last one although it still gives a negative reputation in Bali. There were at least three bomb attacks.

There were three main criminals suicide suspects on these bombing. There were four Australian killed and nineteen was injured.

Prime Minister John Howard said "I see it very much as part of an ongoing attempt by terrorists to undermine democratic Indonesia." Australia have been supporting these attacks and hoping that Bali will recover.

Should we still go back to Bali? That is the question everyone had been asking. The foreign office still doesn’t agree with going back but the French and the Germans had agreed.

In my opinion, you can go to Bali with your own risk. Hundreds of people have gone to Bali and enjoyed while other people still think it is not safe and never will be. Tourist can strike up at any country so all you need to do is keep a close eye and enjoy your visit.

A friend of mine is visiting Bali at this time. He is having a great time and he will never regret on thinking to change his plan on visiting this quite remarkable place. Indonesian government has put extra safety in Bali.

In conclusion, Bali is still one of the largest tourist targets in the world and these attacks wouldn’t stop me from going the place I would love to visit. For those people who regrets on visiting again, is their choice. So next time you want to visit Bali, don’t let all those people make you think twice.

WEll please be very careful that they dont put drugs in your suitcase and arrest you because they are very corrupt. If bombs dont scare you the goverment should. Read up on the ganga queen.
they dont have secure airports and thay are 3rd world mentality. They have a death sentance for crimes committed and they dont give fair trails. So many people have gone there only to be wrongfully accused and then have to pay the judge off to get out or they would get killed. Its much like Mexico but they are very cold.
Dont trust the Indonesian Gov either.
If this doesnt scare you be prepared to go alone and if something happens dont dragg your family into it, because you where definitly warned.
