I understand that smoking is a touchy subject with many people. The health risks are numerous and well documented. However this is an issue of a person's choice to do as they please, which is why this country was founded in the first place.
The Forefathers of the United States of America wanted to be free from persecution. They wanted people to be able to speak freely, and to live freely. Why is the government trying to take away our rights?
I believe that no government should be telling us, the people, or the business owners that they can not allow people to smoke. It should be the CHOICE (and yes that is capitalized on purpose) of the business owner if he wants to allow people to smoke in his establishment or on the premises.
Why? Because the country was founded on choice and the freedom to choose. I am behind any business owner who does not want people to smoke in or near the building. I am against the government telling us how to live our lives.
We are a democracy, not a communist state. We have to let the officials we have elected know that we don't appreciate them taking our freedoms away, not matter how small and insignificant they may seem.
