A lot of people seem to be afraid of technology and how it has been changing. You got political leaders wanting to track you over the Internet and prevent you from seeing things they do not want you to see. There are American politicians in the works of trying to write a bill that would allow them to control info and anything they feel is bad. So far it has not been mentioned anymore so who knows what has happened to the bill. In Germany, they fear anything that reminds them of WWII and they are nuts about “killer games”{anything that remotely involve harming virtual humans. In other words Mario could be banned for it's battle mode released in 1986}. In the rest of the world there are a lot of people trying to censor video games because they view them as kids toys.
All of this annoys me and worries me as this is not good for the world. People are constantly trying to censor information and rights of people because they are afraid. They are afraid of change and evolution since it happening with out there control and lose there power. These people are seem to be afraid of losing what they know at want everything to stay the same. This will only harm the world in the end as it undo everything we have done and we will repeat the process over and over unless someone breaks it. With the Internet, we can remember and avoid repeating a mistake if we are willing to learn and record. There is so much good with technology that we can do with it but we need to harness it. I feel like I'm a new age hippie except without the drugs. In the end I fear it will destroy us.
