Globale Warming and climate change are being used to pass all kinds of legislation and tax measures which we all accept in order to "save the world". It is not a new idea that this could all be a load of rubbish. Personally, I think it's vital to debate this issue seriously before we blindly accept anything else. Below I have collected a series of links relevant to the debate, and should be of interest to anyone who holds a firm view on this topic, perhaps without much grounding.
Ignore climate change:
-
"The Earth's climate is a dynamic, continually changing system which has been experiencing shifts and fluctuations ever since it came into being."
-
"A similar scare emerged during the 1970s when scientists predicted global cooling and the imminent onset of a new ice age." (Interesting, I thought) and here's a link to the movie: http://www.sprword.com/videos/globalwarmingswindle.html
-
"I'm saying that the problems are being grossly exaggerated. They take away money and attention from other problems that are much more urgent and important"
Battle climate change:
- A UK Government report into the economic effects of climate change.
- A fantastic argument to take action, I challenge anyone to refute it.
- A vast bank of data.
I hope this presents a fair case for each side... this is perhaps one of the most important debates of our generation, so let's debate it, don't just let it be.
