I would like to talk about something that irritates me; TV commercials. Now that subliminal messages have been outlawed in commercials for decades, they like to repeat themselves too much. I still think this is another method of brainwashing, and its getting ridiculous. Wouldn't it make sense that a company that over advertises spends more on advertising, so their product is more expensive? I often mute commercials, and can word from word recite their ad.
The minute commercial time hits I'm thinking get ready for car insurance, next Cable, and then a medicine add.
Why do I need to see a cable commercial when I already have it? Lord knows I get enough junk mail from them a week. You'd think all the car insurance companies are trying to sell it to our children.
I simply love this. The medicine commercials. They make a good healthy add, and blurt out a hundred miles an hour the side effects. May cause headaches, dizziness, insomnia, heart attack, the runs, upset stomach, and my favorite; cause death. Their little fine under print.
You may be reading this article and thinking deal with it. That is understandable, but I have a further point.
In the early 80's when cable first started they made a promise. If you bought cable, you would be commercial free. All the local broadcast companies warned America that TV should be free because the commercials paid for them. Now we are paying for TV and still putting up with the commercials. What's next pay for the radio? Now the people who stuck to their guns and only used an antenna will need to by an HD receiver soon.
Commercials are nothing but spam. There might as well be anti spyware software on our Tv's to get rid of them. Sounds silly, but then again the digital tv era is almost here. Is tv spam a possibility? Will commercials get even more annoying? Isn't digital the same idea as the internet? Cable obviously works fine, why the upgrade? A chieper way to transmit commercials, more commercials. Sound silly? It's not proven, but known that antivirus companies were the ones who created the viruses. Why is digital cable being created? Their pitch is about better picture viewing, is that all there is to it?
If computers can have viruses, could televisions in our future, so the cable companies can sell you their
Fixes? Aren't most viruses basically adds, or commercials?
