What is really the purpose of it? We use the beauty of language in vain!
"F**k!" Did i feel better saying that? Did that outburst of emotion, concentrated into a word mostly used for sexual intercourse, improve my mood?
Hell no. Did you, yes you, my fellow reader, ever hear of the fact that people with less luxury than you, never wastes his breath for idiotic words shot into the atmosphere for others to endure? That is a fact. In a lot of parts of the existentially living population in Africa, where the "survival of the fittest" still counts, deaths are a common thing, illnesses nothing special, and corruption still occurs, people do not, simply do not curse. Maybe it has absolutely no coherent connection with the fact that the happiness in our culture and society is lower than that of the states in the souther hemisphere, but the people there have an extraordinary attitude towards life, where cursing just does not take part.
Back to us. There is a huge overuse of so-called "bad words". Songs by famous musicians, such as Eamon with his single "F**k what I said", "F**k the world" by 2Pac, etc, are idols for the younger generation, who then imitate the aqcuired "skills" of cursing, at the same time not really understanding what they are emitting into the atmosphere.
The age of the people using that kind of language (boy does that sound teacher-like,no offense to teachers), has decreased to an astonishing age of two years. Of course they just blabber along what their superiors are stating, so they don't really count. Nonetheless, five to twelve year olds (not even in the rebellious puberty years yet) have aqcuired that exact use of the language. Blinded by the success of their idols, they imitate their words, having no idea what they are saying, only to realize that they are grounded for a month for cursing at their parents.
So the question that i pose to you, dear readers, is; what is the use of cursing?
