Via churches and elitist thinking in the classrooms, alleged betterment of society through personal achievements and rare success stories (at the expense of your schoolmate or neighbor) was glorified. The fact that one person's success is based on ten other persons' failures was never clarified by the USA propaganda.
“Step on your colleagues' heads in order to succeed” was the solution proposed for all necessities, from getting a new dishwasher to sending your children to a private college.
And the USA youth and young families, without having been taught any concept of logic or cause-and-effect, were swallowing the bitter pill of separation, isolation, and individualism, without being aware of it. Individualism weakens the citizens, and strengthens the industrial and political establishments.
