It’s funny how society perceives our young generation. The world today is colored with mothers young enough to still be cradling baby dolls and adolescents not only carrying lethal weapons but loading them, pointing them and shooting them.
We sit back and marvel in the pitfalls of our lost and confused children. Children who had little guidance and a seized childhood due to that predictable cycle that just so happen to snatch away”their parents” childhood. The media paints a picture that Is bland, showing little contrast to many of the lives we see as utterly shattered and too gone to save. Was It ever a consideration that we as the older generation, play a huge part in the downfall of our kids? Do we ever take time to analyze what It Is that we aren’t doing to help redirect them to where they need to be. Our lives have become so Indulged with so many superficial, meaningless agendas, that we Ignore the most precious thing that makes our life make sense in the first place. Being afraid to Involve yourself in ways that could save a child from becoming a statistic will do nothing but cause another statistic. As far as I’m concerned, It takes a village to raise a child . But in these times It seems as If the children are raising themselves. We have to step up and begin to create a positive structure that our young can grow and prosper from. I by far do not blame this misunderstood generation for any of their mishaps or snagged mentality. I blame society as a whole for being selfish and nevertheless not giving a damn!
