Love is Not Cruel: Stop Domestic Violence

The secrets to the treasures of the heavens are in the heart of a woman.

Okay. This made me angry, I came across a website during research for another article.

The website advocated and encouraged abuse toward women. Women were given to men as partners so they wouldn't be alone, and men squander the gift.

Women are to be cherished, not abused. For all those out there who enjoy degrading their wives and girlfriends, just remember, without a woman you wouldn't even exist.

God told men they are to love their wives. All this domestic abuse really rattles my nerves. My mother was in several abusive relationships, as well as abused as a child.

Women deserve our respect, and anybody who doesn't think so has to have a damn cold heart. Forgive the terminology, but seriously men, your women give you their hearts, do not batter and beat and degrade them.

If you have a heart at all, I hope this article reached it. Honor your wives and girlfriends men, as they say "the secrets to the treasures of the heavens are in the heart of a woman."

Men with wives, they aren't called your better half for no reason. Give them your heart, your soulful, faithful dedication. I can promise you if you do, Your relationship really can flourish and grow.

I agree with this so much. Honestly, men who beat their wives should be beaten themselves. Especially if it's for no reason.

I completely agree with you on this. Men should treat their women with the same respect their wives treat them. Woman are very different from men, they react differently to being hit. they dont fight back, they cry. Their feelings get hurt. A man must have a cold heart if they don't care about their women's feelings. Thank you for bringing up this issue.

I grew up abused and married an abusive male. I tried to fight back but found that fighting back angered him more, and nearly got me killed. I loved my children and had to live for them. Sometimes you take more crap for the sake of love. It scars children to see their mother abused. They lose respect. They are fearful. Fortunately we were able to get out of the situation, but it left scars. Jupiter thank you so much for covering this topic. Can it (your message)ever be said enough?

Thank you for the messages B.T. & Judy, I think more people should bring this issue up. Domestic violence is a plague, a scourge on humanity that needs to be avoided and stomped out at all costs.

According to statistics, each year in the U.S. 1,000 to 1,600 women die at the hands of their spouse, and it is usually after years of escalated abuse. Jupiter, I think you have touched upon a hot topic.

I need to correct that statistic to state mate not spouse, but anyway, Jupiter, I am with you on this one.
