Marijuana is illegal because there ones were some people who thought it was damaging for our health. Then why is alcohol legal, it kills more people than war does. You kill brain-cells when you drink one beer, you don't kill your brain-cells by smoking a joint, you just sedate them, they will come back after a few days. Alcohol and some medicines are more damaging to your health than a joint after work.
I can agree that, young people (Under 18) should be banned from smoking Marijuana, because it can slow down your growth, just like alcohol does.
When you smoke a joint, you don't want to go and do something stupid, you just wanna sit and relax or go out for a walk ( Not often ) But when you drink too many beers, you go out, and some people gets violent and cant control themselves when drunk, so they end up in detention or the hospital. 90% of my friends and their friends smokes a joint every now and again, just to let go of the stress. It helps better than pills and alcohol. Plus, you don't get psychical addicted, only mentally. And you can stop smoking when ever you want, I´ve smoked for many years and just had 2.5 years where I didn´t smoke, at all. I look at the alcoholics sitting in the park drinking every day of the week, they cant quit drinking like we can stop smoking our joints.
When you smoke Marijuana you see the world in a different way, but you remember it. Not like alcohol, if you drink too much you cant remember what you did the day before, smoke too much and you can still remember what you did, maybe not what you were thinking, but you know you didn´t do anything stupid.
Im not saying that You should start smoking or let your children smoke Marijuana. Im just saying that its less damaging than alcohol and it should be legalized.
Some people cant handle smoking, so they shouldn´t. Just like some people cant handle to drink.
Every kind of people smokes Marijuana, from craft workers to directors, it takes your stress-level down and many doctors know this. It´s good for Parkinson syndrome too it makes the shaking stop. Of course as every other things, marijuana is damaging if consumed in too large amounts, but so is too much Coca Cola and MacDonald's.
If you decide to smoke, do it with manners and when you don't have to do anything for the next 45min.
