I have heard these things said about experts;
That the expert is someone who knows all
the answers, but didn't quite hear the
question! An expert is also someone who
knows more and more about less and less.
There is a Hasidic story about a Rabbi who
ordered his Warden to assemble ten men
for a Minyan (quorum of prayer) to chant
Psalms for the recovery of a sick man. When
they entered, a friend of the Rabbi exclaimed,
"I see among them notorious thieves."
"Excellent," retorted the Rabbi. "When all the
Heavenly Gates of Mercy are closed, it
requires experts to open them."
Now those are my kind of experts!
