The Link Between Mad Cow Disease and the Destruction of the Rain forest

This explains how mad cow disease is connected with the destruction of the rain forest and global warming.

Mad Cow Disease is indirectly causing the destruction of the rain forest and nature. In this article I will attempt to explain how Mad Cow Disease has made the destruction of the rain forest a whole lot worse.

In the 1980's a new type of cattle food was introduced called cake feed, it was made of the remains of dead animals. A few of the animal remains used were sheep; lots of these sheep had the disease called Scrape. The cattle loved this cake feed, but some five or six years later large amounts of cattle started to stumble, drool, become aggressive and eventually die.

British scientists soon found out it was caused by the infected cake feed. Britain was left with millions of tons of cake feed and sold it to other countries cheaply before they were aware of Mad Cow Disease.

Once everybody knew about Mad Cow Disease and the infected cake feed, there was an international demand for a new type of cattle food soy. A few months later soy was the top of cattle feed and it became a multi-billion pound trade.

The president of the Matto Grasso state in Brazil now nicknamed as "king soy" became involved in the soy business. He started to destroy the rain forest and nature in order to make more space for soy crops. He is now worth billions of pounds and is destroying more and more rain forest.

To date his business has destroyed about forty per-cent of the rain forest in his state, and lots of other nature. He seems not to care about the destruction of the rain forest and has been known to promote it.
