There are many problems in this world today. Some of them may destroy the earth. Some just may end humanity. But one major problem is destroying earth thanks to us. That is global warming which we must put to an end.
One reason of why it's a major problem is that it can cause an Ice age. Humans won't be adapted to that and become extinct unlike the last one. This is because now we rely on technology and that now we won't be able to survive such temperature. If enough cold, fresh water coming from the melting polar ice caps and the melting glaciers of Greenland flows into the northern Atlantic, it will shut down the Gulf Stream, which keeps Europe and northeastern North America warm. This leads to disrupted weather patterns which would cause harsh winters, droughts, worldwide desertification, crop failures, and wars. The worst case scenario is another ice age like the last one. Also there's already been a lot of natural disaster cased by this problem.
Wild Fires burning habitats in Australia, New Orleans being stuck in massive storms and hurricane Katrina, droughts in many worlds and the rising temperature of 2 degrees Celsius. What is the cause of this? It's global warming of course. We are rapidly heating this planet and at 6 degrees it will change the world. Large droughts, 1 mile high tsunamis flooding California and other areas, no where will be safe. And this won't be a problem for only humans.
We may have forgotten about the innocent creatures that have been killed because of our accidents. Wildfire burn down habitats taking life with it, oil spilling killing fish ,seals and other animals that eat the fish, polar bears and penguins are losing there land from melting and soon enough if the world ends we will be taking life with us. Killing a few maybe seem little when it's actually a lot and now killing all of them for our selfish needs is not good if we continue this and die they will also be taken away.
It's time that we stop destroying earth before everything upon is gone. We must put this to an end otherwise there will be great consequences, natural disasters, extinction of many creatures, and a second ice age. It's time we stop it before it's to late, we are being put to the test.
