The first reason why abortion is wrong is that it is murder, and murder is a sin. God says in the Bible, “You shall not murder” (Exodus 20:13). Murder is also against the law. “If a pregnant mother is murdered, then the murderer will be prosecuted with a double homicide” (Christianet).
The Bible also has these words, “And if men struggle with each other and strike a woman with a child so that she has a miscarriage, yet there is no further injury he shall surely be fined as the woman's husband may demand of him; and he shall pay as the judges decide” (Exodus 21:22). If the government and the Bible claim the baby is really human, and deserves to live, and the government will charge someone with a double homicide when he or she kills a pregnant woman, then why do we kill innocent babies but say we did not really kill a human? Even if people say that it is only a “fetus” and they are not really murdering a baby they are wrong. The baby inside the mother is human; in fact just after a couple of weeks in the womb you can see the formations of a baby, not just a “fetus”. The baby inside of the mother is a real, living human being!
The second reason why abortion is wrong is that a baby is God's beautiful creation, whom he knew before the world began. He has thought of every little detail of the baby before it existed. “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you” (Jeremiah 1:5). He loves us all and he has a plan for our lives that he wants us to fulfill. “The Lord would not put a child in anyone's life if he did not have great plans for it” (Christianet). He wants to see babies mature and become parents one day themselves. Everyone who we come in contact with, even those who are difficult, are brought into our lives for a reason. We need to let the unborn babies live, they cannot decide for themselves. However, if they could choose, they would probably want to live. Sometimes women want to get an abortion to hide the guilt of what they did wrong. But when they get an abortion they feel just as guilty and perhaps, even worse. We do not need to destroy God's creation just to feel better. All we need to do is ask for forgiveness!
Last of all we do not create babies. “The point is simple. Without God "making" the baby, it would not occur” (Christianet). We do not have a right to destroy what is not ours. “What God has created, who are we to destroy it?” (Kidd M.D.). It is like little kids being told by their parent not to break or touch anything that was not theirs. We do not have any right to destroy what God has brought about. God is the giver of life and He decides when someone is going to be born or when someone is going to die. That is how it should be. We do not have the right to choose when the baby is going to die, considering we have only a small part in how a baby is created. “ I know that everything God does will endure forever; nothing can be added to it and nothing taken from it. God does it so that men will revere him” (Ecclesiastes 3:14). When a woman has an abortion we take glory away from God because we have killed His creation. This creation, when grown, might have done great things for God and served Him.
All this has shown that abortion is murder, it is destroying God's creation, and we have no right to kill something that God has made with His hands. This is why we need to vote against abortion. God hates when we sin, and murdering is a sin.
