Illegal Immigration will always be bad for illegal Immigrants for many reasons.
At the outset these people are starting on the wrong side of the law and can end up in prisons or detention centers for a long times thereby making them incapable of earning wages and also creating criminal records.
Having criminal records will in cases where they are permitted to re-enter society prevent them from government funding to pursue higher education and to get good jobs.
Illegal Immigrants who are in no position to access quality jobs and education are highly disadvantage because they will have to work for long hours earning very low wages.
Major companies across the US may employ some of these people at the expense of legal residents and citizens thereby depriving the economy of much needed taxes and social security savings.
The poor wages of these illegal Immigrants may even cause them to turn to criminal activities to suffice their taste and lifestyles, thereby exacerbating their already bad records.
Family members who offer assistance to Illegal Immigrants are breaking the law and can be fined or to jailed. This can generate great family bitterness locally and overseas especially in Asia, Africa, Europe and Latin America.
Family members overseas who are depending on remittances from the there legal connections in the US and other countries may find that because of the actions of illegal immigrants, their source of living gets terminated and they are made to suffer unnecessarily.
These people may take out their anger and revenge on both the illegal immigrants and their families.
Illegal Immigrations is bad for Illegal Immigrants.
Turning to the economy and how illegal immigration affects it-the presence of more unlawful immigrants can help increase the level of unemployment of Americans leading to the government having to pay out more unemployment benefits and also help to encourage lazy Americans not to seek jobs.
Many Americans who feels that they are justly or unjustly being cheated out of earning their living may develop animosity against these perceived illegal immigrants, and as a result we may see an increase in hate crimes against them.
An offshoot of illegal immigrants entering a country is the fact that many of them develop relationships with residents or citizens and have children who may grow up without a proper family structure to nourish and support them in their early years.
These types of activities help to accelerate the already high levels of dysfunctional families prevalent in the country and also provide children who may become fodder for the crimes and violence in the society in the years to come.
Illegal Immigration is therefore very bad for Illegal Immigrants from many perspectives.
In a worse case scenario many of them may even die trying to run from the law and end up causing more grief and sorrows to their parents, children, brothers, and sisters in their native countries.
This move to illegally migrate seems to me as a lose/lose situation for the most part and it is sad to see immigrants from Latin America, Asia, and Africa take actions that are continuously destroying their lives.
In my time I seen many talented sports and academic persons illegally migrate and were never heard of again. I have also heard of cases where fathers or mothers or even children of illegal immigrants die in their homelands and they are unable to attend the funerals.
Illegal Immigration destroys not only the people but the innate human resources within these people and from an international perspective this can have far reaching consequences.
When prospective doctors, engineers, teachers, and entrepreneurs leave their countries, they generate brain drains on their respective economies and retards future development prospects.
In order to address this exodus it is imperative that the leaders of countries like Mexico, Ghana, Nigeria, Jamaica, Pakistan, and other countries take more aggressive actions to reduce the level of damage their citizens are inflicting on themselves as they try to enter the US and other countries illegally.
In going forward these leaders must do their best to communicate collaboratively the dangerous situations that awaits them in a foreign country, because may of them are ignorant of these challenges and may think twice before making those life changing and destructive decisions.
