English is a special language. We cannot say whether a particular sentence is right or wrong. We can only say one is more correct than the other one. This is mainly because English is a much fertile language. It accepts words and styles from different areas, with recent development in every sector of the society.
1. Gasoline and petrol: In India the word petrol is widely used which is British English while Gasoline is used in American English.
2. Color is American English while Colour in British English. Both are correct.
3. Staff members: Staff is wrong in British English. Staffer is correct in American English which means staff member in British English.
4.Fan: In the sentence “I am a fan of Nicholas Cage "fan" is a shortened form of fanatic.
5.Sensex-Is also a shortened form of Sensitive Index.
6.Accommodate is correct while Accommodate is wrong. Apprise means inform while Appraisal is evaluation.
Also "kindly grand me leave is wrong while "kindly grant me leave is correct.
7.My job provides career growth is correct while my job provides carrier growth is wrong.
8.“My lord” (addressing judge in a court) should be pronounced mi lord. ('Mi' should be pronounced like "me").
9.Dr. John is American English while Dr John is British (See there is no dot after Dr in British English).
10.Rule of CAP-Conjunctions Articles and Propositions should not start with a capital letter.
11. Luck×unluck, but lucky×unlucky is wrong .It is lucky×ill lucky.
12.There is no subject called Arithmetics like physics, maths and electronics. It is simply arithmetic. Remove the last s next time you write that word.
13.Marriage and Wedding are different. Marriage means the short time formal ceremony which includes only blessing the couple. But Wedding means the full function which includes the feast that follows the marriage.
