Agriculture is an important topic in Africa and in the world for it compries food, livestock, fisheries and flower industry. When you think about Africa the country that comes to our minds is Ethiopia. Ethiopia was led to independence by Emperor Haile Selassie who left the country in the seventies. Eritrea used to be part of Ethiopia.
As a matter of fact Eritrea used to be governened by an other Emperor Menelik the brother of Haile Selassie. In Ethiopia it is unclear whether english or french is the administrative language. This creates confusion.
Infact, French is the language spoken by royal families and diplomates in general. So, French was probably the administrative language of Ethiopia until Haile Selassie left. This can bring us to think about the linguistic problems that some countries seem to have. Italian is one of the languages spoken in Ethiopia as well as in Somalia. Ethiopia and Somalia had a war in the eighties, the conflict of the Ogaden in which Ethiopia lost Eritrea and the controle on the Red Sea.
During the conflit between Ethiopia and Somalia, Kenya integrated one of the Somali territories called Somali land. It is as if the somali population has been moving out of its country and it is probably due to a lack of know how to control the Red Sea. There is probably a conflit in Somalia between cattle and goat owners, they both produce milk. This is a secret that is difficult to know about unless you are interested in the industry.
There are important producers for the milk industry like the Netherlands and the most interesting aspect is when it is reduced to powder to help the infants. The meat industry is well developed in Texas in the United States of America and we all know obout the American ground meat or lean meat which does not have fat and is good for health. Protein is needed especially for women who can still bear children for it helps to protect the immune system and to develop muscles needed in our daily work for example.
Fisheries are interesting in Canada with the Salmon fish. Salmon fish can also be found in Thailand and Norway. Fish is also good to eat for the brain. Fish once a week is recommended. One of the receipes from England is fish and chips.
The flower industry has well developped in Holland. Tulip is the flower from Holland and it can have many colours. There are artists who became famous because they painted flowers for example Vincent Van Gogh. So, agriculture is an important study.
Nowadays, there is the option to have a garden and to grow plants, fruits and flowers. This has been an important debate in Latin America. This about the industrialization in agriculture. Brasil seemed to have achieved the integration of industry and agriculture but there is still a language barrier because portuguese is not an international language.
According to the international norms in order to benefit from the experience of Brasil French or Spanish should be the official languages.
