Do Something Positive

It will change the world and enrich your life.

You must do something every single day that you are proud of to feel your very best and to continue enriching your life. While this might feel like a large task at first, once you get in the habit, it will become easier and it will help to improve every facet in your life; because as you feel better, you will begin to open yourself to better things and people.

You can begin by doing simple things so that the idea does not seem so overwhelming to you. Oftentimes people want to do more to better themselves and the world, but sometimes life can throw obstacles in the path and make those thoughts become harder to think about. Personal and work issues can often drain your energy leaving you feeling too tired to think when you have time alone that could be spent doing proactive things.

This sort of “rut” can be compared to someone who is trying to lose weight. The idea of exercise and eating right can seem like a huge endeavor that they can keep putting off. But, once they begin eating right and working out, they will begin to see results that will better their lives. Part of the reason why they don't have much energy before they begin to take better care of their health is due to that fact that their body is working harder, thus, draining their energy. Losing weight will give them more energy, but it takes time and often weight loss is achieved when it is slowly worked into one's lifestyle.

Thus, metaphorically doing things that you are proud of, will help to lift your spirits higher, give your life purpose, and hence give you more energy to do more wonderful things in life! When you do things you are proud of, it is like taking powerful energy boosting vitamins and supplements. The more that you do, the better you will feel. Again, you can start slowly. For example, please visit one of my previous articles called One Click: We Can Save the World. This article has a few links that you can click on every single day that donate money to fight hunger, breast cancer, and illiteracy as well as a few other sites. All you need to do is click on them and the sites will donate some money to these sites. It is completely free to do and you can click on the links once a day.

Next, you can begin cleaning out your closets. Give away any items that you know you will not use and you know that someone else can benefit from. There are Goodwill stores or Planet Aid donation sites that will make sure your donations are put to good use. From there you might want to start making sure that you start to recycle more regularly. Think of all the plastic bags you get with your groceries. Many grocery stores have plastic bag recycle bins in front of their stores as you enter.

Do positive things for others and the world we all share, and your life will be greatly enhanced. Live, laugh, and love!

Yes, by focussing outwards on helping others it usually makes us feel better about ourselves! I like the way that works. The world would be a better place if every person practiced that.

Hi Liane,
I wanted to read your articles. This is a really great one,
getting started is the hardiest part but eventually it becomes
easier and more habit, a good habit. Thanks for visiting my
article, I feel really passionate about what I said. I see that
you also write for the better for our world. If more like you felt
this way and spoke out we could maybe digg out of the mess we're in. Keep up your good work, I have the summer to do good, also to
visit your work and learn from all I am reading during my time off
from school.
