Do You Feel Pressured?

Living in NYC is a great life experience but it is also very stressful. Are you sick and tired of life's pressures nagging at you? Are you struggling with finances, housing, and job stability?

Living in NYC can be a very good life experience but also very stressful. NYC is the greatest city in the world, but has its pros and cons. New York City life has become expensive. Affordable housing apartments have become hard to find because they have decreased in number.

The job search continues daily and is hard for some people due to the upscale requirements employers look for in the potential candidate for the “dream” job. Many jobs nowadays require a substantial amount of education such as a college degree (i.e. a Bachelor's or Masters) and a significant amount of relevant job experience. But, what happens to those who can't afford to obtain the requirements for their “dream” job? Are they just supposed to sell themselves short to any random business?

The answer is no! In NYC, all issues are interrelated. They all have a cause and effect on the next occurring issue. If you lack the finances, how can you get the college education that employers require for some of their positions? Everyone knows college is a major expense. Not everyone has the money to pay for a college education, or has the greatest credit for a loan. So what do you do? Fortunately, college is very flexible.

You have the choice and the availability to choose your own courses and schedule. If you don't have the money to attend college at the moment, don't panic! There is absolutely nothing wrong with holding it off until you have saved enough money for college by working. Take a semester off or even a year if needed. Remember, college is on your time. Besides, it is way better than putting yourself into debt with loans and worrying about paying it back. So save yourself the interest and pay it on your own. Life does get in the way when it comes to wanting to pursue a further education, so please remember you goal!

Do not let the lazy bug bite you in the ass. Also do not let the negativity of others such as friends and family discourage you from obtaining that goal! It is possible for you to obtain your goal so don't let anyone or anything stop you! If you do, you will regret it sooner or later. So make your life count. The best revenge is to prove the doubters wrong! if you are a person who feels that all this hard work for a job is unnecessary, you are probably right. Ask yourself now how long do you see yourself working for another person increasing another person's profit?! It is like mercantilism all over again!

If you feel that way, the best thing to do is to do something for yourself. Find out you strengths and weaknesses, your goal in life, your dreams and desires and make them into a reality! If you think it is impossible, guess what, it's not! Just ask any CEO or other business owners and they'll tell you the same. After all if it was impossible, we all would be unemployed because nobody would have had the initiative to start and manage their own dream business. Work for yourself and increase your own profits! Everyone in the working corporate industry had to start off at the bottom of the ladder and work their way to the top. You are no different.

Nobody said that the road to success was going to be easy and smooth, but it is worth the bumps. There are people such as young babysitters who have started their dream building and have established their own publicly exposed and lucrative day care centers. So go ahead and say YOU can't do it. You'll just be lying to yourself and you know it. The majority of the word can't is CAN and it is possible. Never sell yourself short! Do not let your current occupation, your age or others determine what you CAN and CANNOT do. Dream BIG and never, ever GIVE UP! You're closer than you think!
