How Do You Motivate Yourself?

Self-motivation is essential to reaching every dream you have ever envisioned for yourself.

In the great rush of everyday life, how do you keep your dreams and greatest passions in the forefront of your mind and distinctly in focus? How do you ensure that you stay the course and remain on a steady path toward reaching every aspect of the ideal life you envision?

Quotes are priceless.

“Everything is important.”

“The only limits are those we place upon ourselves.”

“Shoot for the moon, if you miss you'll be among the stars”.

The list goes on…

Simple and succinct quotes are like arrows, directions, mentors and best friends pointing, cheering, and steering us onward and without confusion toward the successful accomplishment of our goals.

Reflection is another great motivating friend.

Reflection often gives us the time to sit without any distraction. “Less is more.” And, allow our minds to drift, dream, and recall everything that we hold dearest to our hearts. A dream doesn't have to just be money oriented; it can be a dream to have the ideal family relationships, work environment, and conscious pursuit of beloved hobbies.

When your mind is clear you can also understand and gain a clearer picture of what may be holding you back from achieving, working more diligently, or striving toward your dreams. Could it be fear of failure? Fear of success? There are many fears and excuses that are common to people who hold many dreams.

The unknown can seem intimidating.

When you begin anything new, you often feel a natural dose of fear and often excitement. This combination is actually nature's homemade way to ensure that you are successful. When your senses are heightened you become more conscientious of everything. You notice things and are more sensitive to your surroundings. This is because instinctively you need to be overly conscious to make sure you learn everything you need to know about your new situation so that you do not miss anything and eventually it becomes comfortable and like second nature. Being extra sensitive to new situations also ensure that you are safe and do not miss anything that can harm you in anyway.

You can and will achieve anything you set your mind to.

Those butterflies you often feel when you are falling in love, coincidentally are similar to those you feel in new situations. Your senses are heightened by the prospect of something new and potentially life changing in your midst. Embrace your feelings, the new situation and trust your instincts.

You are meant for great things.

It was once thought impossible to set foot on the moon, to sail around the world, and to receive mail quicker than a messenger bird could deliver it.

Dream big, beyond what seems reachable.
