How to Get Advantage of Your Willpower

People with strong Willpower always succeed in life.

Most of the parents teach their children in the early age about the power of thoughts and mind and tell them about the good experience of their past life. You are in the habit of taking tea with good quantity of sugar, but you came to know that more sugar would affect body organs at later life. You have taken the decision to reduce the sugar, and then start taking tea without sugar.

This exercise will give you the strength to resist your bad habit of consuming much sugar. You are to exercise for some time such habits, about which you are experiencing inner resistance or discomfort, and there after you will develop such a strong willpower in your later life, that you will succeed in every task you want to complete. You are to act contrary to your habit, by doing some disagreeable action, which will strengthen your Willpower. You will always strengthen your inner force if start doing such exercises in the very early age.

WHY PEOPLE LACK WILLPOWER:

Most of the people like to lead lazy life and pass their time in just sitting in a chair before the TV. Some of the people will prefer to lie in the bed and read romantic novel or books of their interest to pass the time. If you are to achieve your goal in life, then you are to avoid comfortable laziness and start taking action. It is true that Willpower is not always comfortable, but it demands decisions and actions. The fear of failure in your mind will hold back your decision and taking positive action. You find hard to put your willpower into action due

to negative thoughts and bad habits. Negative impression, wrong suggestions and bad habits will enter into your subconscious mind and prevent inner power to come into action. It is always better to think positively and make your mind so strong that negative thought should not disturb your strong Willpower.

SELF-SUSTAINING MOMENTUM:

You are to make your Willpower as your permanent life member. Sometimes you are to use your willpower for a short period, and then you are to come back to your original position in that old pattern. The best way to use your willpower is to create a strong impulse, so that further progress can be made with fewer efforts than is required for the initial thrust. You are to leave your habit of excess drinking, so you have decided with full force that you will not touch the drink from to day, and then you are to maintain this decision for rest of your life. So, you are to sustain this momentum for your future. The proper use of willpower is to establish the strong impulse, which is permanent change and you are to continue with that.

WILLPOWER AND SELF-DISCIPLINE:

Willpower- It is the combined force of your body, which controls your thoughts (positive and negative) with power. The ability of your brain with the assistance of your mind to control unnecessary and negative thoughts is your Willpower. It is the inner force, which you cannot feel, but it overcomes the desire to indulge in useless thoughts, and improves the inner strength that overcomes emotional and mental resistance of your mind for taking the action in right direction. Everyone in life have some bad habits, like smoking, drinking and indulging in bad society, if you are to control these habits, then you need strong willpower. You are thinking to get up early in the morning since long, but laziness and the habit of the comforts of your bed is opposing it. One day you have decided firmly to get up at 5.00 A.M in the morning, then your brain will act like an alarm to put your body in action. So this is your Willpower.

Self-discipline- It is the supporting system of your willpower. It creates stamina to preserve in whatever action one takes. Self-discipline is the nature of the individual to withstand difficulties and hardships, may be emotional, physical or mental. It shows the direction to reject immediate satisfaction for something better. Everybody possesses unconscious and partly conscious impulses in the brain. Most of the people do think before talking to others, or react immediately on the remarks of others, which shows that they are not self-disciplined. If you can develop good power of self-discipline, then you can easily control yourself, and act in disciplined manner with others. Self-discipline helps us to control our behavior and reactions instead of negative approach to such situations.

DEVELOPING WILLPOWER:

You are to do regular practice of the not doing things in your daily activities. It will develop and improve your activities to take sharp decisions in these things, which you are not agreeing with, in your daily life. The hindrance is mostly created by subconscious resistance, which you can overcome by your inner strength. Willpower becomes stronger by resisting the negative approach for any task. It is always better to overcome the inner resistance by attaining maximum inner strength. Regular mental exercise for strengthening of these activities will automatically strengthen the Willpower. You came from office tired and sit in front of the TV, because you feel too lazy to refresh yourself by taking shower. You want to walk in the evening to maintain your health and keep yourself fit, but you are postponing this activity by making excuses.

BENEFITS OF STRONG WILLPOWER:

It is the ability to control the bad habits like procrastination, smoking, laziness etc in life. You can arrive to a decision and follow it with strong action to successful accomplishment. It is the inner power that controls the desire to indulge in unnecessary and bad habits. It is one of the stones of the success, which give you both material and spiritual gain. It improves the following in you.

  • It will control your shyness
  • Laziness will be eliminated
  • It will resist the temptations
  • You can stop smoking
  • You can control your eating habits
  • It is easy to overcome your temperament
  • Strong concentration is the result
  • You can start self-improvement activities
  • Always finish the task you start
