How to Organise Your Day (For The Scatterbrained)

Tips on how to organise your day.

  1. The day before, write down your goals for the next day (this can be done in a notebook or electronically depending on whichever method you prefer)
  2. Prioritise these goals
  3. Set a rough timetable for your day eg if you work best in the morning then you can set your most complicated task for this time.
  4. Tick off each task as you complete it
  5. For each goal jot down points on how you will accomplish them so you will have a clear idea of how you will organise yourself instead of drifting towards this task
  6. Remember to have goals like budgets prepared in advance. This helps you to stick to these kind of goals.
  7. If you have more than one errand to attend to in a certain part of town then you can schedule these tasks at the same time
  8. Goals/Tasks that are broken down into sub tasks are easier to tackle especially if you get overwhelmed when thinking about how to address these issues.
