Our life is what we choose. At every move in our life, we have to choose and proceed. Sometimes we are left with no choice at all but to find ourselves at the crossroad of life, with two paths each beckoning and beguiling us. One is short, well kept, with flowery plants and bushes on both sides, so easy to negotiate, but ending up in a blank wall. The other is long, labyrinthine and bumpy, and difficult to negotiate, but ending up in a vast orchard of fruit-bearing trees and sweet-scented flowers.
THE ROAD TO SUCCESS
We always have a choice about how to handle even life's worst moments. These are the choices that make all the difference. There is no wonder and don't blame if the easy-going and faint-hearted opt for the first path, the easier one, while the judicious and strong-willed prefer the second one.
THERE ARE ONLY TWO WAYS
Most of the times there only two ways out of which you have to choose one. The first is to be pulled toward the result by being internally inspired. The other is to be pushed toward the result through internal or external motivation. There is a huge difference between motivation and inspiration. Few are inspired.
Hence think about which of these two ways makes for a better, easier to achieve a better result for you. Think of why do believe that and which do you use.
TO BE OR NOT TO BE
Many times we are at a dilemma just like the one we find in Shakespeare's Hamlet.
To be, or not to be, that is the question;
Whether "tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or take arms against the sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them?
IT IS EASY TO SAY, BUT…
Happy are we when put to the severest trials by troubles and temptations, and purified by suffering and afflictions. Because we are confident that then our life would be like gold which is purified in fire. It is easier to say this but is it so easy in practice?
SURE TO WIN
He or she who desires to arrive triumphantly and safely to port or destination must be stout in heart and unswerving in resolve to cross the tempestuous sea. “The gem cannot be polished without friction, nor man perfected without trials,” says a Chinese proverb.
Apparently some reach the goal of victory and enjoy life, while others fail and curse life.
HAVE A GOAL
You should have a goal for your every action. If you have a goal, and you want to complete it with all your heart, how hard is it for you to overcome procrastination, fear and challenges to reach that goal?
On the other hand, if you really do not care whether you get there or not, or worse if you are striving for someone else"s goal, how hard is it to overcome procrastination, fear and challenges? What makes the difference?
HAVE A CLEAR VISION OF THE END
Having a clear vision of the end result is the most important step to success whether in business or personal growth. It is your confident vision that matters in every action.
Vision brings inspiration. Stopping at the end of the day is hard, and you will want to begin as soon as possible in the morning. Procrastination disappears, fear falls away and challenges melt like butter!
CHOOSE YOUR SUCCESS
Success does not come to the doubting, hesitant and timid. The individual who achieves is the one who makes up his mind at the crossroad of existence, believes he can do things right and strives to attain his goal. Just like Robert Frost we must be able to sing:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
It needs immense courage and a firm determination as solid as a rock to choose the road less traveled by many. Once done, that would show the difference. Ultimately, it is a matter of choosing - choosing the right road to success, happiness and fulfillment. Choosing a less traveled road with proper thinking leads you to the success of your life.
