We come across to a certain point in our lives that things just don't seem to fall into the right place. We make not so good decisions; we choose the not so right road; we trod the wrong path; we make mistakes; we stumble and fall. At some point in time, we feel that we are in the lowest ebb of our existence all alone, scared and scarred. No matter how hard we try to take ourselves from the abyss of our failures but to no avail. Thus, we end up disappointed and frustrated.
TO ERR IS HUMAN ---- This is a common justification why we are human. We are human because we are fallible; we are fallible because we are human. And so this fallibility is often attributed to the wrong decisions and choices that we made.
It doesn't take us a tap on our back or the removal of a speck in our eyes before we come to realize that we make the same mistakes all over again. It doesn't take us a word of reprimand or some melodic advises from wise persons before we comprehend that we are getting out on our way. Instead, it takes us to be hit severely by a double-edged sword and crushed the heart into pieces to be able to come to a point of realization. In simple terms, it takes us to be hurt in the most heartbreaking event in our lives that we have come to reconcile with our real inner self.
This is precisely the logic why pain has emerged ---- to teach us the basic lesson of forgiveness. We only come to be in congruence with our inner self if we forgive ourselves from the unfair decisions and wrong choices that we made in our lives. After all, we learn from our mistakes. Reality connotes that sad things really happen in life. That is part of the living experience and from those things a great deal can be gained in the way of learning empathy and compassion.
Indeed, the experiences that we've undergone through our most difficult moments are the best teachers in our continuous quest through life. These experiences have given us our own dose of medicine paving us a new avenue to renew ourselves and become better persons. These entail to convey lessons learned in order to surge forward. These encompass the real weapon against life's struggles and setbacks. More often than not, those people who are richly blessed with wonderful experiences become victorious at the end of the fight.
Men of good disposition say that there's a light at the end of every tunnel. Yes, I agree. In truth, there are always chances to bounce back. There are always room for changes and improvement. There are always opportunities to do the right thing and discern the right choices in life. Equally more important is our willingness to rise every time we fall. In this way, we serve our purpose in life. We found the missing ingredients of our existence ---- the inner peace, contentment and happiness.
Perhaps, this is not an easy thing to do. This does not happen presumably overnight. Yet, let time takes its essence. Time will gradually heal the wound that scarred the heart. Eventually far from thinking of it, we'll just wake up one day right in our very eyes that everything falls into the right place.
Life is more meaningful when downtrodden by trials and setbacks. This is where all man's defense mechanisms come in. This is where our trust and confidence in our Divine Creator can be tried and tested. This is where the soul can be purified. And this is what we call LIFE.
