People get tattoos for many reasons.
For some people it is a cultural tradition.
For others it may be something as simple as wanting a unique look.

If you do, of course they have value and meaning to you.
Example, I have a tattoo on my left shoulder.
I got it when I was eighteen.
I got it in remembrance of my friend that died.
I notice among more conservative areas of the country, tattoos still have a stigma attached to them.
These days however, Lawyers, artists and businessmen alike may have tattoos.
Years ago, the tattoo was considered taboo. Bikers got them for many reasons as well, but somehow they became a symbol of anti-establishment views and rebellion.
For some, the tattoo is a symbol of being a non-conformist, still to others tattoos may have a romantic or poignant quality. So ultimately the question is, tattoos, what do they mean to you?
