Thanksgiving? Many Americans believe that thanksgiving is a wonderful time to give thanks for your many blessings, but is that the real reason? Certainly… is it? I believe that it is. What else is it? I do believe that the many stores take advantage of the season. But the larger picture is that most families spend plenty of time with family during thanksgiving.
Like I said before store chains like Target and Wal-Mart have misled American in to believing that you need 25 pound turkeys, and 10-20 servings of everything else… for a dinner of two. I believe that it is O.K. to eat turkey and stuffing, but it is more than that I believe that thanksgiving is about family and the blessings that you have.
Now imagine that you donate a 20 pound turkey 10-20 servings of fix'ins to the people in need. You could even have a 5 pound turkey and 1-10 servings of the good stuff. I believe that people should not only believe in that thanks part but also the giving part. So if you feel that tug for God to donate food or money for thanks-giving… then God bless you!
