The daughters of Rick and Kathy, that are in control of the worldwide Hilton Hotel name, that was originally started by the great-grandfather, Conrad Hilton - that was the founder of the Hilton Hotel chain, born in 1887 from a Norwegian father and a German mother in Socorro County, New Mexico.
His business started form opening a store in San Antonio, New Mexico, but he later moved to Texas, where opened his first Hilton Hotel - "Dallas Hilton" in 1925. He entered the hotel business by buying the "Mobley Hotel" in Cisco, Texas,in 1919. Then he formed the "Hilton Hotel Corporation" in 1946. The company expanded into credit cards, car rentals, and other travel services, and from there he and his family ware set for life. Hilton's autobiography, "Be My Guest", was published in 1957 by Prentice Hall and can be found in any Hilton Hotel rooms along with the Gideons Bible.One of Paris Hilton younger brothers is named Conrad Hilton III.
