Thoughtfulness is when we do kind things for another without thought of compensation. Thoughtfulness is giving out of the kindness of our hearts because it's the right thing to do or we feel for the person we are helping. Most of the time thoughtfulness is returned by the recipient with a "thank you" but there are times when our thoughtfulness goes unnoticed. At those times, we must smile to ourselves and know in our hearts we did the right thing even though we were not recognized for it.
For thoughtfulness is not something we do to get recognized for, it something we do out of unconditional love, empathy and compassion. Thoughtfulness is not something we do for ourselves, its something we do out of love for others. No matter how small or large the deed, there are thousands of ways to be thoughtful to others everyday. Hold the door for someone, pick something up that someone dropped, be that listening ear when someone really needs to talk, let that person in traffic get over in front of you.
There are countless little ways we can be thoughtful everyday. Being thoughtful is a positive thing, it creates positive energy. By being more thoughtful toward others we are generating more positive energy in body, mind and spirit. Things roll smoother in our lives with the more positive energy we have.
