What Makes You Happiest in Life?

It's important to focus on what makes you happiest as much as possible.

What makes you happiest in life? What keeps your spirits lifted? What do you do on a daily basis to lift your spirits higher each day?

Often people do not realize how interconnected the mind and physical states of ourselves are. The better our minds feel the better we treat our bodies. The better our bodies feel, the better we treat ourselves with positive thoughts and good feelings of peace and tranquility.

It is a simple mathematical equation.

When you think about how good you feel after you eat a proper diet or complete an exercise routine, so too do words affect your psyche, body and mental state. Thus, it is crucial to your life to think about everything that makes you happiest. Things that make you feel your best at all moments of the day. Keeping your mind in such positive mental states will keep you literally feeling “high off life”.

Every moment is precious and that is why ironically we often remember the parts of our lives where we felt the worst at times. Because if we touch fire once and it hurts us, it is our instincts that keep us focused so that we never touch that fire again; so that we cannot be hurt by it again. But, we must not stay in a position of focusing on the negative for too long, for that can often do more harm to us in the long run. Studies have shown that laughter is healing and intrinsically important for our well being and that a life without it can conversely cause you great harm.

So, right now, take the time to really reflect on everything in life that makes you happiest. Take the time to either visualize those things, write them down, or discuss them with a special friend or loved one. Sharing your joys with others will help add to the joys in their lives and vice versa.

Make it a daily habit to take time to sit back and reflect on the best parts of your day. The best moments, the things that really made you feel your best. These will act as fuel to your soul when difficult moments arise in your life. Treat this “reflection ritual” as you would vitamins. They are a supplement to maintaining a healthy lifestyle and keeping you feeling your best at all times. They are essential and necessary “pills” you must take everyday.

Consequently, by doing this you are creating a buffer that will give you the strength to keep you from being down too long or down at all. This buffer will protect and keep you moving forward, with powerful inertia and unstoppable motion toward making all your dreams come true!
