What Makes You Happy?

Simple tips on figuring out what you want out of life, and making it happen.

Do You Know What You Really Want?

This question may seem odd at first glance, some may think "of course I know, I want more money", or "the perfect partner", however these answers are too vague. To manifest something you need to get the clearest picture possible of what it is you want, visualizing yourself in that situation.

For this exercise you will need a notebook, paper, and at least 15 uninterrupted minutes:

Calm your mind, and think about what it is you want to manifest.Consider the details. Is it the perfect mate? What qualities will this person have that will make them the right one for you?

Is it financial prosperity? What new experiences do you see yourself enjoying with your future wealth?

Is it a renewed sense of creativity? What type of things will you create?

Use this detailed idea for whatever it is that you are wanting to manifest.

Now, make a list of what this future experience looks, and feels like. This is your list, so if you're inspired, draw or paste pictures that describe what you want to bring into your life. Make the experience real to yourself. Take this time once a day, . add pictures and details to your notebook as they emerge.

Don't Get Caught Up

Avoid getting caught up in the things you DON'T want.

This can be one of the challenges to manifesting new experiences. The job you don't want to go back to, or the bills that are due, the car having problems, whatever the stress factors of your life are at this moment. It becomes all too easy to let your focus go onto how much you don't like the current situation.

That's the time to get your notebook, and change your focus back onto the life you are creating for yourself. The things that arent going so well are temporary, as is this lifetime we are living. Don't get stuck in this moment in time. You are creating your dreams. Believe.

Don't Wait For Permission

It's very likely that no one will come and give you permission to make changes in your life, a lot of people may even feel threatened by the changes you're making.

Your dream may be to go to India, and help people there. But your Parents are probably not going to say, "Honey, why don't you give up your career, and go help the needy people of India?" In fact your friends and family may very well think you are loosing your marbles. Support is wonderful, just don't consider it mandatory.

Just remember that in the long run, you may end up being the role model for a lot of those people. Some of them may eventually take a chance on living their dreams, too.

Meditate

If you don't already practice meditation, there are many good books on the subject. Or consider taking a class. In my experience, the peace and balance obtained in meditation is mandatory for manifesting.
