When I met Jeff we got along great. We lived togather for two years and then the day came that he asked me to marry him, and since I hadn't planned on ever getting married, I told him that when hell freezes over or the moon turns blue. Well. as it was we were outside one night looking up at the sky we noticed a dark cloud covering over the moon to which of course it made the moon a deep color of blue. So being true to my word I said yes.
Two months later we had my mother call the same minister that performed hers and my dad's wedding vows. The minister said he could do it,but we would have to go to his house cause he was retired from the church. So we got two witnesses and headed to his house to get married, it was a nightmare. But then again so was our marriage. When we got there we had to wait for the minister to set things up so we had Barb,( my witness ) take some pictures of us.
One picture took place in front of the door where I took one to many steps back and fell out, that was only the beginning. After a few more pictures we sat down on the sofa untill the minister was ready for us which was ten minutes later, he asked us to stand and when I tried to I couldn't because Jeff was sitting on my dress. Then of course on the way home we decided to stop at the first bar to have a celebration drink, wrong bar, there were guy's touching and hanging on guy's and we were the only male-female couple in the whole place. Now I know why everybody was whispering about us. The first month of marriage was great, but then came the day that we had an argument and it ended with me getting my jaw wired.
That was only the beginning of a long ten year marriage. I always thought that I needed Jeff to fix my car for me, I thought that I would spend the rest of my life lonely if I left him.Well, I got news for all you abused women in the world,you don't have to live with it. I found my own place while he was gone to work one day and I left him, after ten long painful years. After ten years of being alone, I finally found my Mr. Right, his name is Bob and he is the total oppossite of Jeff. Woman don't have to take abuse from men if they choose not to. Where there is a will there is a way, after all I found mine.
